Creation Care Team
 

The mission of the Creation Care team is to care for our grounds in a responsible and sustainable fashion.  This involves considering environmental consequences and making choices that do the most good and the least harm.

Projects in place include:  Planting native species and removing invasives from existing beds; pruning and eliminating overgrown shrubs; weeding; planting annuals and perennials.  

​

We are exploring the addition of a rain barrel and / or a rain garden, the installation of a pollinator garden, and the use of signage to educate and enrich our community.  

​

There are numerous volunteer opportunities including attending meetings at the parish and diocesan level; "getting our hands dirty" with some landscaping and groundskeeping duties; dressing the church steps and entryway to present and inviting welcome; consider and implent new projects; and financial support.
